Holistic consultation 養生諮詢
Finding what works for you on your holistic journey.
There's no single right practice for everyone. Over tea and conversation we talk about how you move, breathe, rest and feel, and I share the ideas from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), qi gong and mindful movement that have helped me, so you can find what fits your life.
Please know what this is and isn't: I'm a tai chi & qi gong flow teacher, not a doctor, physical therapist or licensed TCM practitioner. These sessions are a friendly sharing of what I've learned, not diagnosis, treatment or professional advice.
What we can talk through
- Movement & balance: a gentle look at posture, range of motion and comfortable stances (standing or seated).
- Breath: simple breathing patterns to calm or energize.
- Five Elements lens: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water as a way to reflect on seasons, emotions, sleep and daily rhythm.
- Qi gong ideas: gentle sets I practice (Baduanjin, Six Healing Sounds, Five Animals…) that you might like to explore.
- Mind: meditation and mindfulness you can actually keep up.
- A simple routine: a short home practice built from the flow class, with links to video demonstrations.
The Five Elements 五行
| Element | Season | Organs | Emotion (balanced) | Practice |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wood 木 | Spring | Liver / Gallbladder | Anger → kindness | Stretching, 'Xu' sound |
| Fire 火 | Summer | Heart / Small Intestine | Overexcitement → joy | Calming flows, 'He' sound |
| Earth 土 | Late summer | Spleen / Stomach | Worry → openness | Rooting, 'Hu' sound |
| Metal 金 | Autumn | Lungs / Large Intestine | Grief → courage | Breathing, 'Si' sound |
| Water 水 | Winter | Kidneys / Bladder | Fear → gentleness | Rest, 'Chui' sound |
These conversations are educational and supportive. They don't replace your doctor, physical therapist or a licensed TCM practitioner, and I'm glad to encourage you to keep them in the loop.
